Friday Night Writes Volunteer Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in Friday Night Writes! To participate in Friday Night Writes, you will attend a training and three in-person drop-in sessions to support students ages 10+ in developing writing of their choice, including but not limited to submissions to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, college scholarship and admission essays, creative works, and school assignments. Meetings will take place Friday nights from 3:45pm-6pm on the following dates: 9/25, 10/16, 11/13 at Gutmann College House. We will also hold a required training on 9/18 from 4-6pm, also in Gutmann College House. 

As a Cosmic Coach, you can also be paired with a young writer, with whom you will work weekly in virtual sessions. These you will schedule with the family after you have been paired.

We sometimes offer activity stations for young people to try a new kind of hands-on writing activity or get some inspiration. If you would be interested in leading an activity station at Friday Night Writes, what kind of activity would you like to lead?
