The Office of employment and apprenticeship services, (OEAS) is excited to transport all NKY high school Seniors and Juniors during the week of November 13th-14th to the Turfway Event Center, from the following counties: Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Owen, Kenton and Pendleton! 


This will be a 2-day event, Monday through Tuesday, 9:00AM-1:30PM (8-2 if you prefer to set up every day, but tear down is not necessary all week), set up will be Monday, November 13th, 8:00AM which will give you an hour set up, or if you need more time, you are welcome to set up on Sunday, November 12th. OEAS will send out instructions the week prior to the event on set up details. If you have a smaller set up, you are welcome to set up the day of the event, as long as your booth is set up promptly by 9am EST, which is bus arrival. You will receive the schedule of buses when they have been completed. Please bring plenty of business cards, flyers etc, as the kids will be handed a bag when they arrive to collect employer details and contact information. Employers are NOT permitted to collect student information due to safety concerns. It is up to you, as the employer if you would like to hand out marketing gifts. If you need access to electric, please answer question below indicating such and please bring your own extension cords. 

There are 30 minutes allotted for lunch. There are restaurants in the casino that will be open but will be your expense to occur. 

OEAS has decided to waive the cost of the fair to focus on feedback from students, parents and employers that found an immersive experience would be most beneficial for this age genre and we desire an array of employers that will share in that same spirit. We feel there is a lack of real information and exposure to greatly needed career paths in our community.
