Community of Practice: Decolonization, Indigenization, and Reconciliation
Aligned with the university's commitment to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, the Teaching and Learning Centre is organizing a community of practice (CoP) related to Indigenization and decolonization.

Members of the CoP will collaborate with other interested faculty, instructors, teaching assistants, administrative support, and staff from across the university. Everyone is invited to join, regardless of level of experience!

The broad goals of the CoP are to:
- Generate ideas, seek feedback, and share stories about Indigenizing and decolonizing content, instructional approaches, and interactions;
- Identify, develop, or experiment with strategies and resources that support Indigenous students and/or the inclusion of Indigenous pedagogies and content for all students;
- And most importantly, to develop a collaborative, supportive, and flexible group interested in Indigenization and decolonization.

If you are interested in joining, please complete the following questions.

If you would like to being contacted about the CoP, please share your name and email.
To launch the CoP, we would like to begin with a short retreat where everyone can introduce themselves and share if/how they already integrate Indigenous and/or decolonizing content and/or pedagogies, ideas for how they might begin this process, as well as ideas for what the CoP might do. Would you be interested in attending a virtual, half-day retreat in the following months?
After the retreat, how often would you be committed to meeting (virtually/in-person as allowable)?
