BROS 2017 Rock-Opera Pitch Application
PITCHES CLOSE AT 11:59pm TONIGHT (OCTOBER 6th)
NO PITCHES ACCEPTED WITH TIMESTAMPS OF OCTOBER 7th OR LATER

We are now accepting pitches for the next FULL-SCALE BROS production to be premiered in Fall 2017.

With our new 501C3 status secured, 2 successful runs of the Rock-Opera 6-Pack and an epic return to Artscape behind us, BROS is ready to choose the next rock opera that will add to the BROS multiverse and catapult our screaming brain-children into the minds and hearts of fans and volunteers alike! Let's make the next BROS show!!

BROS will select a single rock opera in much the same way that BROS chose to produce such amazing taint-shredders as VALHELLA, MURDERCASTLE, The Electric Pharaoh & 2016's upcoming BRIDES OF TORTUGA. Produced in the later months of 2017, a writing team will get to work on this show as soon as possible, a Director will be selected in 2016 & production staff will be selected as usual (in the build-up to the actual production). Similar to BRIDES OF TORTUGA, this will be a much longer lead time than any other shows we have put on stage which we expect to really benefit the script and design!

******YOUR PITCH*******

Pitches should consist of a concept and a few basic ideas ready to be fleshed out into a full script and design. If you have done lots of work on the pitch already you can totally reference it and even link out to it, but the pitch will be judged based on the quality of the ideas presented below not the work already put in. Scripts that are already fully written are NOT what we're looking for since a BRO-centric writing process is important to our company. Pitches will be evaluated based on their fitness for BROS, their relationship to our past body of work (I.e Pharaoh and Chronoshred both being science fiction it is unlikely we'll choose any science fiction pitches for this pitch party), the extent to which they take our company in new and exciting directions and how In Panton Redundo they can get (excessive, larger-than-life, epic and with great potential to inspire and be awesome)

******THE PITCH PARTY*******

The BROS Uberpalladium will evaluate all pitches and decide what concepts will come to PITCH PARTY THE 4TH (Friday October 16th). Each selected pitch is allowed (and encouraged) to collaborate with a handful of people who can help them develop their idea, outline the plot, the concepts and come up with visuals and sounds to share what their idea is all about.
Attendees to the pitch party (and online participants within our volunteer network) will then VOTE on their favorite pitch. THIS YEAR THE VOTES WILL DETERMINE THE WINNER. We are working on a robust and fair voting system that we will outline further when pitch party selections are announced.

If you've pitched in the past, you are welcome to re-submit the same pitch or a new one!
