The Kapunda Harness Racing club was founded in 1945 and has been an integral part of the SA harness racing scene since then. 

 In 2013 the hard-working committee saw an opportunity to broaden the scope of equine sport in Kapunda and the inaugural Kapunda Rodeo was held. Through ongoing support from sponsors like you, Kapunda Rodeo has grown to be SA’s largest rodeo, and one of the biggest gatherings in rural South Australia, bringing with it national and international exposure. 

Of course, the Kapunda Harness Racing Club (KHRC) relies heavily on the help of local service groups, sporting clubs and non-for-profit groups to assist in the facilitation of this event. In return, the KHRC provides much needed financial recompense back into these community groups.
