Since Popportunity started in 2020, we have been dedicated to creating and provided vending opportunities to local entrepreneurs – from one-day carts and seasonal popup shops to graduation into a brick-and-mortar store. This will be our final season of Popportunity's Pop-Up shops on Lot 5 in Central Square. It will run for the month of June alongside the final season of Starlight Square.

We're looking for up to twelve vendors with fun and exciting ideas to be a part of our final season. You can be an artist, retailer, food or beverage purveyor! Our goal is to go big this year and continue to create a unique destination for events, shopping, and enjoying the city at Starlight. New vendors and those that have been a part of past seasons are welcome to apply.  

Popportunity will continue to help place vendors in brick-and-mortar stores while we work on the next version of Popportunity's Pop-Up shops.  

HOURS + DAYS OF OPERATION:

This year, Popportunity will operate concurrently with Season 5 cultural programming at Starlight Square. Hours of operation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays for the month of June. Additional dates and times may be added as programming is finalized by the end of April.

LOCATION:

Popportunity’s Spring 2024 season will take place at Starlight Square, located at 84 Bishop Allen Drive in Central Square, Cambridge.

MISSION 

Popportunity seeks to support the start-up and growth of local entrepreneurs and small businesses through affordable vending opportunities, coaching, and policy advocacy.  

The application timeline is as follows:

4/10/2024: Application Open

4/29/2024: Application Closed

5/6/2024: Notifications of acceptance via email 

5/9/2024: In-person orientation at 6PM in Central Square
