Faculty advisors use their subject matter expertise to help students considering a major in music to:
- explore and choose a major in a subject area of interest;
- discover possible major-to-career pathways;
- clarify goals for completion of a degree and for transfer; and
- identify and select courses that work towards achieving these goals.
Faculty advisors work with students who are declared in or interested in one of the following:
- Music - Composition (AA) major
- Music - Vocal (AA) major
- Music - Instrumental (AA) major
- Music - Keyboard (AA) major
- Considering a major in Music
- Non-majors interested in courses open to any major (such as music ensemble courses)
AND
- in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- TSI Complete/Exempt
- a traditional student (i.e., not an ECHS or dual credit high school student)
