The Advanced Drawing and AP Studio Art Classes will be viewing a video titled “All About Looking," a film by contemporary artist Jim Dine takes place during a drawing course attended by artists, teachers, and adult art students interested in drawing the human form. Mr. Dine speaks of many of the same techniques and approaches to drawing that I instill in my classes. The reason for this permission slip is due to the nature of the drawing class Mr. Dine teaches. His models are nude. Being in the public high school, I seek parental permission to show this documentary. I have shown this movie many times, and each year the students have taken away a better appreciation for what I am trying to teach. If you feel that your Advanced Drawing or AP Studio Art student should not view this documentary, please do not fill out this form. I will have other arrangements for your child for that day.

Just as I say to my classes, I do not show films, movies, or examples that I do not feel directly benefit the students and are directly related to the field of study as we have zero time for that sort of experience. If they want to see a feature film, save it for the weekend!
