Are you interested in pursuing a career in law? Do you want to know what it feels like to be a lawyer in court? If you said yes to any of these, sign up for LBA's LawyerUp! Mock Trial to gain hands-on experience in arguing a law case in front of judges comprised of lawyers and professors!
In this two-day mock trial event, students will get the opportunity to present a case in front of judges either as the Crown or the Defense. Different members will present as lawyers or witnesses to present a compelling argument based on the facts presented in the case study. The competition will operate with a loose tournament style, with the top scorers moving on to the next round.
You may either register
- an individual (will be placed in groups) or;
- as a group (min. 4, max 6; only one registration needed).
If you are to register as an individual, you will be placed into a group with other students who signed up as an individual as well. If you are registering as a group, only one individual needs to register on behalf of all members.
Further details regarding information on the case, itineraries, procedures, and more will be emailed to all registered participants once their form has been reviewed.
