Providing LEGO Robotics, Engineering and Maker Camp courses to students in 1st through 6th grade.

CLASS Descriptions

Fun with LEGO Simple Machines
Our pre-robotics class uses the Simple Machines set and activity pack and is an excellent way to introduce budding builders to key concepts while building teamwork and communication skills. Elementary students will discover basic models such as gears, pulleys, levers, and wheels and axles through observation, prediction, problem solving. This class is an excellent precursor to the Robotics program. No previous experience is required.

LEGO WeDo Build and Program
Our early robotics class will use the WeDo Build and Program set and is an excellent way to introduce young children to building and programming concepts. This class is an excellent bridge to the Robotics program, giving students the basic building skills and real-world engineering ideas needed to flourish in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

LEGO Robotics Exploration
This fun and exciting class is ideal for beginners. Students will be building and programming robots using a variety of LEGO® Mindstorms™ kits. Working in pairs using LEGO blocks, gears, motors and sensors, students will learn the basics of building and programming while sharing a LEGO Robotics kit and Windows 10 laptop computer.

Students will learn:
- Mechanical design
- Construction
- Block code programming
- Teamwork skills
- Problem solving

Holiday Maker Camp
October Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, New Year Break, February Break
This is a great all-day camp for students that like doing things with their hands. Kids get an unique opportunity to create holiday projects and more all while using basic STEAM practices. Grades 2-6.
Seasonal projects will include:

• Still life portrait painting
• Sewing
• Lego robotics and game time
• Origami
• Cooking
• Crafting
• Perspective Drawing
• Candle decorating

Creativity, skill building, math, drawing and painting techniques, critical thinking will be an important part of each day.
Campers will enjoy outdoor activities, music and game play during breaks and lunch hour.
Students will bring home beautiful projects they make daily. Some materials may fees apply.
Extended care available – apply when signing up.
