Training Course "Youth Civic Engagement and Advocacy"
Following an open a call for applications, CID will select a group of 20 youth leaders from Municipality of Kumanovo, Lipkovo and Staro Nagoricane to participate in a series of two, five-day trainings on youth civic engagement and advocacy.
The trainings will focus on developing the young participants’ skills to promote positive changes in their lives and communities through: supporter recruitment, peer outreach, community mapping, establishing local partnerships, conducting structured dialogue, and using offline and online tools for campaigning.
Following the trainings, the participants will identify key challenges in their communities and develop at least four public advocacy campaigns aimed at promoting human rights, peace-building and conflict resolution from the perspective of youth. The FPDL and CID will mentor the youth leaders as they transfer their knowledge to at least 60 peers involved in directly implement ing the campaigns. The CID-supported advocacy campaigns will initiate a constructive, youth-led dialogue at the community level.

The first traning will be from 16th June - 21 June 2016 in Hotel Srna, Mavrovo
PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:
- between 15 and 20 years old
- Able to use English as a wroking language
-Interested in topic
-Highly motivated
-Willing to participate in all activities during training course and dedicated to continiou to work in with organisng the advocacy campaigns
