24/25 Application for the Strategic Plan Guiding Coalition Committee
Hi,

Please complete this brief survey if you wish to join or continue with the Strategic Plan Guiding Coalition Committee. We are in our 3rd year of the strategic plan and we welcome new members.

The coalition will make sure that we are staying true to the stated vision of our new, 5-year strategic plan and approve large changes in direction. We are committed to having students, families, school and district staff, and community members continuing to co-construct our path forward. Superintendent Tom Flanagan participates in our meetings.

This Guiding Coalition will meets monthly 6 times each year, starting in October.

We meet at BHS on the 4th Thursday of the month for two hours from 3:30-5:30pm (in October and February we will meet on a Monday). Once a year, the committee may engage in a longer retreat, in place of their monthly meeting to do more in-depth reflection and planning. Members of the coalition will be compensated at a rate of $25 per hour (as long as they attend at least 4 of the 6 meetings), snacks will be provided at all meetings, and child care can be arranged with advanced notice.

At the meetings, the committee will share updates on progress in the priority areas, learn from each other about ways to support the work, gather evidence and feedback about impact, and make plans for further progress. The committee will also reflect on whether the current strategic planning work is student-centered and responsive, and to what extent your school district is adhering to our stated initiatives. This year, committee members will include each of the four priority leads and some of their team members. Superintendent Tom Flanagan will participate in all meetings.

New this year, each coalition member will join a specific priority area for the year. We will hear about what has been done up to now and what is being worked on. Much of the time will be spent providing feedback and co-constructing next steps.

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis in order to fill certain roles that are under represented. For more information about this, please email or call Victor Prussack at vprussac@bsdvt.org or 802-316-6653.

Thank you.
