The Permaculture Program provides numerous scholarships each term. We have a lot of applicants and do our best to prioritize those with significant financial need, particularly those who live in countries where the economy makes it very difficult to pay US prices, and applicants from disadvantaged communities. We prioritize applicants who have a history of community service and clear plans for how to use what they learn to help their communities.

We will contact all applicants with a decision three weeks prior to the start of the upcoming course. After that, all applications will be reviewed for the following term. Please add bonadyd@oregonstate.edu to your contacts so that you will receive any scholarship notifications promptly.

Please apply using the same name that you use to register for the course. When applying for a scholarship, we prefer that the student waits to register until they receive scholarship confirmation – that eliminates the need to issue a refund.

That said, if enrollment is nearing capacity, you may want to register early to reserve a spot. Creating and saving a registration (but not completing it with payment) does not save a space in the class and they have been filling up.
