After you completed the ABOVE steps: One of our Intake Volunteers will call you directly (please allow 7 business days) to assess your concerns and assign suitable counsellors.
***Please note that, despite our best intentions and as much as our volunteers do their best to help, there are times where they are not able to support some clients of high symptoms complexity or complex circumstances, which are beyond the volunteers’ training and university’s restrictions.***
***Common Client Exclusions or requests that we will decline:
-active court, probation, custody or child access legal cases
-uncontrolled or unstable psychosis or psychiatric conditions, non-compliance to required medications
-uncontrolled or unstable suicidal or self harm risks e.g. hospitalized for suicidal attempt last week and likely to be hospitalized again this week
-severe uncontrolled substance use, relapse, currently in and out hospitalization.
-active domestic violence, intimate violence or abuse conditions
-forensic clients with active risks to self or others
-cognitive impairment or disability to the point of difficulty understanding the counsellor
If the level or intensity of your concerns exceed our volunteer's counselling level, we might recommend other more experienced (probono and paid) counsellors in the larger community (depending on availability).
We DO NOT provide crisis nor emergency services. Please call 911 for crisis or emergency.
Attention: it’s our mandate to provide entirely FREE of charge counselling.

Counselling sessions are 45min (video call or phone call). Our counsellors are committed to providing at least 12 sessions free counselling to each client.
Services in multiple languages: English, Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Persian, Portugese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Urdu, Vietnamese and more.
Psychotherapy and Counselling is provided by Volunteer Counsellors or Referral Affiliate Master Degree Student Counsellors who are professionally supervised and near the end of their journey to being accredited.
