Healthy School Hours Working Group Interest form - June 2025

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Healthy School Hours Working Group, established by the Bedford School Committee on June 11th, 2025. This working group will support the district’s commitment to student well-being by developing a thoughtful, community-informed plan to adjust school start and end times.

From the School Committee Resolution: The working group will be chaired by the Superintendent and include, but is not limited to, representatives from each BPS school, Bedford Charter Service, Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford Education Association, the Parent Diversity Council, each school parent association (BHSPA, MSPA, and BEST), the BPS student body, Recreation Department, and additional individuals/organizations as needed.

This group will meet approximately every two weeks after school for 2-hour sessions (likely Thursdays), starting in Fall 2025. Members will collaborate on developing an implementation plan aligned with educational research, operational feasibility, and community priorities.
