For the attention of the Estates Advisor, University of London.
We are writing to see if you would agree to the Phantom Railings at Malet Street Garden to be reinstalled.
It was such a fun and interesting installation to interact with last summer. The fact that it was inconspicuous made it all the more unusual and happily unexpected.
We really enjoyed walking along the pavement and experimenting with the different noises of phantom railings- and we saw lots of other people doing the same. It really brightened up an everyday walking route.
It also gave a very good insight into the past history of the park railings, how they were used during the war, and the subsequent effect of opening up the parks to the public.
I understand the university needs to give permission to allow this to be reinstalled this summer.
We, the undersigned, would be very grateful if you would grant permission to bring life back to the phantom railings of Malet Street Garden this summer.
