Event Sign Up: Run Her Way x Fairspace Bystander Intervention for Runners
When: July 10, 18:30-20:00 (optional social run after)
Where: Stadskantoor, Stadsplateau 1, Floor 6, Room V33
What: Bystander Intervention for Runners — Workshop in partnership with Fairspace

Join us for an evening designed for runners who care about community, safety, and showing up for each other.

We've teamed up with Fairspace to offer a dynamic workshop on how to safely intervene when you witness harassment or threatening behavior during running, racing, or in daily life. This session is free and open to all runners, whether you’ve ever felt unsafe on a run, witnessed harassment, or want to be part of creating a more supportive running culture.

After the workshop, we’ll head out for a relaxed 5K along the Singel.

Agenda
18:30 – Doors open, welcome, light refreshments
18:45 – Workshop begins
19:45 – Wrap up/Q&A
20:00 – Optional social run (5K out and back along the Singel, beginner-friendly pace)

Following recent reports of harassment and assaults involving women runners in Utrecht and elsewhere in the Netherlands, including numerous incidents involving young men on fatbikes, it’s more important than ever to equip runners with practical skills to support one another.

This event is open to all, and we especially encourage male allies to join us.
