Required
Please review and respond to the below statements about volunteer expectations and requirements.
Selecting "Disagree" or "Not Sure" does not automatically disqualify you for volunteer opportunities, but will likely require follow up with the Community Engagement Director for additional information.
Many of those who come to WRC seeking assistance are women of color. Many are dealing with the oppressive consequences of the intersections of poverty, mental illness, addiction, and domestic violence. We work to meet her where she is and build bridges to a life where peace is possible. *
We ask that WRC volunteers make at least a three-month commitment to providing volunteer service. Of course, we encourage our volunteers to remain with WRC for as long as possible. The hours per week/month will vary depending upon the volunteer work assignment. Please speak with us about short-term or one-time volunteer opportunities. *
WRC offers orientations that prospective volunteers must complete before beginning service. Orientation information will be communicated after your application is received. *
WRC volunteers are required to complete a criminal records check. Details regarding obtaining a criminal records check will be provided to you by the Community Engagement Director. *
The next step in volunteering is to interview for a volunteer position and attend orientation. Email volunteer@wrcdv.org to schedule.  *
Optional: any additional notes for our staff that have not been covered in this application?
