We are looking for like-minded individuals, businesses, and organizations to join us in a permaculture themed area, Casa del Prado, upper patio, during the Earth Day celebration on April 27th at Balboa Park. We plant to advertise it as "Permaculture in San Diego" to the community and expect to attract a lot of attendance during Earth Day.
California Rare Fruit Growers (CRFG) has space reserved at Casa del Prado (Patio "B" see attached images) during Earth Day. Britt Cool (Sage Ladies and interim council member for San Diego Permaculture) has gotten CRFG to let us all use/rent the space to help promote permaculture businesses, principles, and ethics for a nominal fee.
Site Details:
We have space for 22-24 canopies/tables, depending on number of vendors.
The day can be sunny and hot, so a canopy or other sun-shade device is recommended.
The fee is only $25 for each 10' x 10' canopy space (paid before event) (A great price as other vendor space at Earth Day is costing a minimum of $150 up to $1000)
If you're selling wares and make above $250, the fee for the table space is 10% of sales instead of the flat $25. All sellers must use a receipt book to document sales.
Applicants will be approved prior to sending in the deposit. We don't want multiple vendors presenting/selling the same message/product.
6' folding tables are provided by Casa del Prado
Hours 10am-5:00pm
Setup: 6:30-8:00am (police block traffic after 8AM and reopen after 5PM for removal)
It is possible to bring your items the day before and store them in Room 104 which will be locked during the day and evening. Be aware that room 104 is opened at 8:00 a.m., no earlier, so anything stored in Room 104 is not available until 8:00 a.m.
Parking is available by Spanish Village after dropping things off in the AM
