The Chicago Chapter of the AMBA is offering high schools funding of up to $1,500 to purchase supplies for curriculum that supports the manufacturing industry or professional development in manufacturing curriculum. We realize school funding is often inadequate and does not always cover tooling, raw material, and other items needed. In some instances, schools have the equipment, but the instructors are not educated in the operation of the machines. Grant applications for the 2019-20 school year are now being accepted on an ongoing basis; however, funds are limited.

Your school needs to meet these simple requirements:

1. School must offer manufacturing-related curriculum such as milling, CNC machining, lathes, robotics, etc. in 2019-20 school year.

2. Funds must be used to purchase materials used in manufacturing curriculum or towards professional development in teaching manufacturing curriculum.

3. School must be located within 30 miles of an AMBA Chicago Chapter member company. To find company locations, visit

4. School must allow an AMBA member to do a 30-40 minute presentation to its students on careers in mold manufacturing.
