UNC Greensboro has received an IMLS award to host a national cohort development program for Library Diversity Residents. This program will enable one to two incoming residents from each institution to attend a two and a half day institute to 1) receive instruction from national experts on how to make the most of their residency experience and 2) gain a professional network of their residency colleagues nationally.
Travel and other attendance costs are being covered courtesy of a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The program will host its first institute the upcoming labor day weekend August 31-September 2. Please complete the form for each registrant. If you do not have a Diversity Resident in place yet but would like for your incoming resident to attend, please complete the fields as you are able so we can hold your spot. You will be able to edit your responses at a later time.
Preference will be given to ACRL Diversity Alliance Member schools with residents starting their residency in the Fall of 2018, but residents who have already begun their residencies may also apply. Also, residents who have not yet begun their residency as of August 31 may attend; provided that their information is complete on the registration form.
Once the form is complete, we will follow up with you and/or your designate on arranging for plane tickets and other logistical information for your resident to attend. We are excited to be working with you and your resident on this important Institute!
Preference will be given to registrations received by August 1, 2018.
