Cuyamaca Outdoor School is a five day residential program coordinated through the San Diego County Office of Education.  Students who attend the program will have the opportunity to learn in a natural environment and participate in hands-on activities that incorporate the state's science framework.  The curriculum includes life science, biology, botany, earth science, geology, meteorology, astronomy, outdoor skills, Native American lore, recreational activities, and crafts.  Several of our District teachers/staff will accompany the students to Outdoor School and will remain with them during the full program.

LUSD Outdoor camp is 1/9/2023-1/13/2023.  This is the week directly after Winter Break.  The total cost of the Outdoor School is $300, which includes transportation to and from Outdoor School.  Parents must complete this form to register their child.  Once registration is completed, parents can click the link to pay through MySchoolBucks. REGISTRATION and DEPOSIT are due by ⏰11/18/2021!!!  Space is limited, your space may be given to someone else if you do not complete registration and deposit by 11/18/2021. A Payment in full is due by 12/16/2022. Your school may offer fundraising or scholarship opportunities, please contact your school site teacher for more information.  

The total cost of camp must be received by the District Office no later than December 16, 2022.  Please note that the payments associated with Outdoor School are voluntary contributions and no student will be denied participation based on lack of payment.  In the unfortunate event the District has to cancel Outdoor School, any contributions made to the District will be returned.  If you choose to cancel,  you will be refunded the cost paid for camp less the $50.00 non-refundable deposit.  No cancellations will be accepted 12/16/2022.  If you need financial assistance,  you must contact the school principal, in writing by November 1, 2022..
