Texas has the highest repeat teen pregnancy in the nation, and is 5th highest in teen pregnancy overall. Further, a full 54% of all pregnancies in Texas are unplanned, as compared with a national average of 45%. Yet 25% of Texas school districts offer no education in family planning or disease prevention, and 63% offer abstinence-only education.
