During the 2017-2018 School Year, the Nayatt School Improvement Team studied the lunch block. It was determined by the team that the second and third grade lunch was overcrowded and that students who ordered the school lunch sometimes had a very limited time to eat. Based on this feedback, administration has added another lunch time, separated the second and third graders, and developed strategies for getting students who order lunch into the cafeteria more quickly.
The team is required to have at least three parent members with administration, teacher and staff representation. If there are more than three parents interested in being on the SIT or Health and Wellness Committee, Ms. Whitehead will make the final decision based upon having representation from different grade levels, representation from a cross section of the school (i.e. parents of students with IEPs and students without IEPs), and what contributions to the team you are able to make (see question below). Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, September 7, 2018.* Required
