Distinguished Service Award: Given to an individual, business, or organization in the community who has performed a valuable service on behalf of Mental Health America of Augusta.
Professional Service Award: Given to an individual in the professional community who has made significant contribution to the mental health field.
Media Award: Given to an individual, business or organization who has made a significant contribution to promoting mental health information and education through the use of media.
Volunteer of the Year: Given to a MHAA Member who has dedicated time and effort in unselfish service for the benefit of the MHA-A programs.
MHA-A Bell Award: Given to a person or organization whose outstanding support and generosity of spirit has made a great contribution to MHA-A’s ability to promote mental health in the community.
Clyde F. Hoy, Jr. Consumer Advocate Award: Given to a consumer who has made major contributions to improve the lives of people who suffer from a mental illness(es); promoted effectively the concept of recovery to local or statewide audiences; or illustrated their commitment to advocacy despite risks to career, finances, and public acceptance.
Dr. & Mrs. C. Lennart Sandquist Prevention Award: Given to a person or organization who has made a significant contribution in the field of mental illness prevention.
J. Lewis Gibbs Award: Given to an individual who has rendered unusual services to the community in the areas of mental health or to an organization for outstanding support of the MHA-A; named for the Rev. Dr. J. Lewis Gibbs, founder of the MHA-A and 1st President.
