Sojourner Truth Legacy Scholarship
You have accessed the application for the Akron Press Club and Sojourner Truth Education Committee's Sojourner Truth Legacy Scholarship for $5,000. Please review the information below so you are fully prepared to complete the application.
 Qualified scholarship candidates must:
  • be a current Senior on track for graduation in one of the Akron Public Schools in Spring 2026
  • be accepted into a college or university for full-time status beginning in Fall 2026
  • Planning to major in a degree relating to journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations
  • Preference is given to underrepresented students

Applications must be completely filled out.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
