Join Sofia and the Palestinian Youth Movement in Chicago for a fundraiser yoga class! All proceeds will be donated to Al-Jawad Camp in Gaza for the continued programming of yoga, creative activities, and healing outlets for children in the camp.
Al-Jawad camp was founded by Hadeel Al Gharbawi in July 2024 in an effort to bring educational and psychological support for children as they navigate their childhood amidst a genocide. The camp provides them with material for their education as well as food.
The continuation of these vital services rely on donations. Even if you can't make the yoga class, please consider still donating. You can donate directly the fundraiser
here.
*If you are attending the class, please donate via Venmo or Zelle so we can keep track of funds raised via this initiative.*
The class will take place on Sunday, October 11th on the 2nd floor of Healthy Hood Chicago - 2242 S. Damen Ave. Please arrive on time at 5:00 PM. We will move through a one-hour flow with time for discussion before and after the class. Estimated end time is 6:30 PM. Please bring your own mat -- we will have a limited quantity of mats for those that do not have one.
