Ban the Bag Petition
We need local action to Ban the Bag in Queen Anne's County.

Why Ban Plastic Bags?

-They start out as fossil fuels and end up as deadly waste in landfills, waterways, and the ocean.
-They are not recyclable. Most end up in landfills.
-They take over 300 years to photodegrade into microplastics, which are consumed by wildlife and humans through food and the air.
-Wildlife mistake shredded plastic bags for food

So far, 9 states, including Delaware, have banned single-use plastic bags. Countless other jurisdictions have as well, including Baltimore City and Chestertown. It’s time for Queen Anne’s County to get this done!
