REGISTRATION FORM: Parenting Anxious Kids: How to Help your Anxious Child Become More Courageous and Independent
Parents often cope with their children’s worry and fear by providing constant reassurance and by helping their kids to avoid fearful situations, because nothing else seems to work. Yet these comforting responses don’t solve the problem and ultimately impair the development of skills and tools for handling worry and anxiety.
This session (1 hour presentation + Q&A and discussion time) will teach parents how anxiety works and will outline a practical, research-based approach for parents to help their anxious children become more independent and courageous - and ultimately more fully engaged in life.
