Introduction
The Creative Innovation Challenge is a competition organized JPP for the polytechnics student to sparks their ideas creatively. With the proper industry training and guidance, students are highly motivated to produce out-of-the-box projects that are highly sought after. Not only the students would be able learn the industry techniques, they would also get the chance to pitch to industry-renowned judges
Theme
Creative Innovation Challenge will emphasize and the usage of ICT in all of the projects. All submissions are recommended to enrinched creative arts through technology.
All participation and category are FREE.
Competition Categories
There are three (3) categories that will be contested in this competition, which are:
1. Category A : Short Video with Visual Effect
2. Category B : Animated Short Video
3. Category C : Interactive Media (Edutainment)
Rules and Regulation for Each Categories
1. This competition is open to all Design Departments Polytechnic Malaysia only.
2. Ideas and Projects MUST be original and has not been commercialized, displayed or shown to any manufacturer.
3. Participants which have been submitted to any other competitions are not qualified to participate. The Organiser has 4.
the right to reject any entries and revoke prizes, if they are found to have submitted the same entry to any competition
previously or found to have copied/ plagarised the Idea and Project.
4. Final year students (FYP) STILL eligible to submit or participate in this competition with respective supervisor guidance.
5. The Organiser cannot be held liable and responsible for any damages or claims for any damage or loss of documents
or projects before or after the competition.
6. Selected Project will be kept for promotion and documentation purposes.
7. Each participation will need to use different Registration Form.
8. The Organiser will inform the participants if their submissions are selected for commercialization and they also have
the right to receive any compensation based on the agreement between both parties.


Category of participant are as follows:
1. Category A: Short Video with Visual Effect - MUST consist of ONLY three (3) members and assist by ONE(1) Supervisor.
2. Category B : Animated Short Video - MUST consist of ONLY three (3) members and assist by ONE(1) Supervisor.
3. Category C : Interactive Media (Edutainment) - MUST consist of ONLY two (2) members and assist by ONE(1)
Supervisor.

CATEGORY A: Short Video with Visual Effects
1. All footage used is to be original work carried out and filmed in 2017 and MUST UPLOADED in format AVI,HD or any
quality video file in Youtube (copy and paste the url in the Registration Form provided).
2. Participants MUST burn their Final Project in DVD and handle by in charge person from each respective Polytechnics
for Finalist Selection.
3. All third party music and Images used MUST be credited/acknowledged in the closing credits.
4. ALL IMAGES MUST be copyright free, original, or permission from the owner is required (you can't just rip someone's
music, photo's, diagrams and images off the web).
5. Participants MUST mention the source of music used in the video if being used.
6. All participants are to be follow the exact timeline allocation as specified in categories including credits. Any entries
exceeding the category limit will be disallowed.
7. Overall duration for video uploading in Youtube must:
a) 2 minutes – About team members, Project title, Description, Problem/ Opportunity/ Entertainment Value, Current
Scenario Assessment, Target users/ Audience.
b) 2 minutes – Final Short Video with Visual Effects.
c) 1 minutes – wrap up/ selling the WOW (Pitching process)
CATEGORY B: Animated Short Video
1. All footage used is to be original work carried out and filmed in 2017 and MUST UPLOADED in format AVI,HD or any

2. Participants MUST burn their Final Project in DVD and handle by in charge person from each respective Polytechnics
for Finalist Selection.

CATEGORY C: Interactive Media (Edutainment)
1. All footage used is to be original work carried out and filmed in 2017 and MUST UPLOADED in format AVI,HD or any
quality video file in Youtube (copy and paste the url in the Registration Form provided).
2. The Final Interactive Media Project should be technically functional with executable files.
3. Participants MUST burn their Final Project in DVD and handle by in charge person from each respective Polytechnics
for Finalist Selection.
4. ALL IMAGES MUST be copyright free, original, or permission from the owner is required (you can't just rip someone's
music, photo's, diagrams and images off the web).
5. Participants MUST mention the source of music used in the project if being used.
6. All participants are to be follow the exact timeline allocation as specified in categories including credits. Any entries
exceeding the category limit will be disallowed.
7. Overall duration for Final Project must:
a) 2 minutes – About team members, Project title, Description, Problem/ Opportunity/ Entertainment Value, Current
Scenario Assessment, Target users/ Audience.
b) 2 minutes - Demonstration video on Final Interactive Media (Edutainment).
c) 1 minutes – wrap up/ selling the WOW (Pitching process)
Competition Submision
This competition consists of three rounds; which is:

First (1st) Round
participants are required to fill up the required online Registration Details Form for training, 3 days training, Submission of online projects details and Submission of Final Project by Team members.

Second (2nd) Round
All participants from Category A (Short Video with Visual Effect) and Category B (Animated Short Video) and Category C (Interactive Media - Edutainment) MUST upload the Final Project on Youtube (copy and paste the url in the Registration Form provided).
Participants also MUST burn their Final Project in DVD and handle by in charge person from each respective Polytechnics.

1st selection Judges will be from polytechnic to select each categories.
2nd selection will be from JPP to select each categories.
The final shortlisted participate will be announce for hit the voting only in Youtube.

Finale
Final Round is sent for final Pitching Presentation and judging by the panel.
Selected Finalist will be held at the Final CIC 2017 for Pitching Presentation and the judges are from Creative Design Industry.
CIC 2017 Award Event will be held at Putrajaya
