 Brand Nicknames and Consumer Trust

We are Erik and Hasanthi, two marketing students in our final year of the marketing programme. We openely welcome you to participate in a research study conducted as part of a Master's thesis at Linneaus University. The study investigates how brand nickname adoption — the use of consumer-created nicknames in official brand communications — influences consumer brand trust, and how individual skepticism toward marketing moderates this relationship. With your participation, you will contribute to a better understanding of how authentic brand communication strategies shape consumer trust in the digital era.

Your responses are completely anonymous. No personally identifiable information is collected. Data will be stored securely and used solely for academic research purposes. With that, you are under no obligation to participate. You may withdraw at any time without consequence simply by closing the survey. Lastly, all data will be aggregated and reported at the group level only. Individual responses will never be identified or disclosed.

The estimated time to finish the survey is approximately 5-10 minutes and will be fully anonymous. By proceeding with the survey you confirm that you have read the above information and cosent to participation.

We extend our sincerest gratitude for your time and participation in this survey.
