2026 Northeast District OPTA Student Scholarship Application Form
Applications due Friday, November 6, 2026 by 11:59 p.m.

The NEOPTA supports student involvement in the physical therapy profession. This annual scholarship is for PT and PTA students who show great promise to be future leaders in the profession. This includes being involved in the American Physical Therapy Association, attending Northeast District meetings and events, and promoting physical therapy through volunteer activities and leadership positions. Scholarships will be awarded at Marilyn Mount Case Report Night (recipients expected to be in attendance) on Thursday, December 3, 2026.

What are the requirements for eligibility?
  • Student is currently enrolled in a PT or PTA program in the Northeast District or lives in the Northeast District
  • Student must be in good standing in their academic program
  • Student must turn in application by midnight on Friday, November 6, 2026
  • Student must have attended one Northeast District or OPTA event in the last calendar year (may include virtual OPTA events)
  • Students with APTA membership will receive extra points on their application
  • Students that are awarded a scholarship (1 SPT & 1 SPTA) will each receive up to $500 or a year of APTA membership plus $400. These students will have the opportunity to choose which position on the Northeast District board they would prefer to shadow to help them prepare for future leadership opportunities
