Mobilising in so-called Australia, Anakbayan Sydney is a national-democratic comprehensive mass organisation of the youth that seeks to arouse, organise and mobilise young Filipino workers, students, professionals, migrants, and national minorities for national democracy and to merge this movement with the powerful movement of the toiling masses. 

Anakbayan recognises the historical role of the youth as a powerful force that advocates and advances social change against an unjust and unequal social system.
