Punachicks Farm raises farm fresh organic-fed broiler chickens for the Big Island community. All of our chickens are raised in pens that are moved daily giving them constant access to fresh grass, bugs, clean air and sunshine. We use only certified organic GMO-free feed.
On-farm pick-up time is from 2:00-5:00pm Sunday afternoon at our farm at 17-462 N. Ala Rd. We process the chickens Sunday morning and you pick up the same day in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to come see our farm and connect to where your food comes from.
When you arrive at the farm stand, we will have your fresh chicken chilled, bagged, weighed and labeled for you. They typically range from 4-6lbs. Directions and map can be found on our webpage:
www.punachicksfarm.com and we are also on google maps. Be sure to bring a cooler with some ice so that you can keep your chicken nice and cold for the ride home. We accept cash, check, credit card or EBT as payment.
If a whole chicken is too much to handle, we offer cut-up service for a whole bird. Your chicken will be parted up into 10 pieces - 2 Breasts (boneless, skinless), 2 tenders, 2 leg quarters (thigh and drum attached), 2 wings, neck, and back. There is a $3 charge for this service. Please indicate on the order form on the space provided if you want to take advantage of this.
After you hit the submit button, you should receive a confirmation email with a copy of your order. We will also send a reminder email the day before your pick up date that will include directions.
