What type of team can you AND your child commit to? *

Please read entirely.

WHO: Any dancer looking for more dance and performance opportunities at a competitive and/or non-competitive level. 110% commitment is necessary for both the dancer and the parent.

Expectations: Being on any team requires a huge commitment on both the child and the parent. Solid daily/weekly attendance is critical to the success of your child. Being on time and properly suited for each class is also imperative to the success of your child. Personal practice at home is also a necessity to the success of your child.

SUMMER CLASSES: If selected as a member of any of the teams, ALL team members will be required to participate in classes.

  • Summer Session 1 will be June 9-26
  • Summer Session 2 will be July 7-24
  • A minimum number of 20 total summer classes over the course of 6 weeks will be REQUIRED plus the Studio C Summer Power Intensive Aug 4-8 (with possible choreography sessions Aug 1-9th).
  • Touring company and local company members will have the opportunity to train 4 days a week in the summer if they choose. In which case, getting the unlimited pass would be the most economical way to go.

SUMMER INTENSIVES: Possible Ballet Intensive dates tbd. Possible Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical Intensive dates tbd. Possible Hip Hop/Ballroom Intensive dates tbd

Power Intensive August 4-8, 2024: This is required for all travel and local competition team members ages 8 and up. Age as of Jan 1, 2026.

  • Minis Power Intensive (ages 8-10) = $250
  • Junior/Pre-Teen Power Intensive (ages 11-13) = $375
  • Teen/Senior Power Intensive (ages 14-18) = $500

IN-HOUSE SPRING INTENSIVE is scheduled for March 27-28, 2026: This is required for all travel and local competition team members ages 8 and up. Age as of Jan 1, 2026.

Monthly tuition is based on the # of classes your child takes per week. Company members from our Lil Notes to our Senior Pros, tuition will range anywhere from $65 - $375 per month depending on which team your child has been selected for. The number of classes, class times/days will be determined after the Company is selected. Class levels will be based on the individual dancer. We are striving to train each dancer at a level the dancer is ready for. The greatest benefit is that level advancements can be changed at any time during the season based on our assessment of the child’s readiness. Generally younger kids take fewer classes and will increase as the kids get older and more advanced.

TRAVEL Competition Teams that will be traveling out of state to dance conventions and competitions, as well as perform, compete and participate in dance competitions/conventions and community events in various styles of dance in the Treasure Valley. Roughly $600 per routine to cover choreography, costume and competition fees for 4 competitions plus Dance RAW (our prep competition event), and to cover teachers for extra rehearsals and guest performances. For example, if you have 3 competition routines, your routine fee will be $600 x 3 = $1800. If the event is convention/competition, a convention fee also applies and ranges from $260-$365 depending on the event. Plus the Dance RAW workshop fee is $90. Please note your costume fee does not include dance shoes, tights, make up, lashes, earrings and other personal items/accessories. Routines with a guest choreographer will have an additional $100 fee per routine. Travel reservations and expenses are additional and your responsibility. Please understand that plans can change due to any outside forces that are out of our control.

LOCAL Competitive Teams will perform, compete and participate in dance competitions and conventions in the Treasure Valley as well as perform at community events in various styles of dance. Roughly $500 per routine to cover choreography, costume and competition fees for 4 competitions plus Dance RAW (our prep competition event), and to cover teachers for extra rehearsals and guest performances. Local teams generally have 2 competition routines. Therefore, your routine fee will be $500 x 2 = $1000. Local competitive teams will participate in the Dance RAW workshop classes at $90. Other convention fees do not apply unless you choose to participate in an optional convention, in which case it will be $260-$365 for the convention fee depending on the convention and what their convention rate is. If you choose to participate in an optional convention, you do not compete.

Community Performance Teams - A non-competitive team that will perform at local community events throughout the Treasure Valley. There are no competition and convention fees related to the performance teams. The performance team has 1 performance routine and the routine fee is roughly $250 total to cover choreography, costumes and to cover teachers for extra rehearsals and guest performances.

How many routines can you AND your child commit to? Consider time and finances listed above.  *
Quality over quantity. Our goal is always about quality training over the number of routines you child is in. We believe in having a child properly prepared for any routine a dancer is cast in. We can guarantee every child will be cast in 1 routine. But in reality, everyone has a minimum of 2-3 routines. Any more than that will depend on the readiness and progress of your child as well as the time and financial commitment of the dancer and the parents.

Are you willing to commit to weekend rehearsals 1-2x a month (with 1-2 weeks notice of dates) and sacrificing some family time due to weekday dance classes and weekend rehearsals as they pertain to your child?

Are you wanting to do a solo/duo/trio? If so, you MUST get approval from Carol to do a solo/duo/trio for dancer(s), song choice, choreographer, choreography, costume and the events competing.

*
(Note: current team members will be taking skills assessment test week of May 12th)

Solo/duo/trio opportunities are available with approval by Carol.

All solos/duos/trios must have approval from Carol on the following: dancer(s), song choice, choreographer, choreography, costume and the events competing. Please get approval before any plans are made. To ensure preparedness all solos/duos/trios must clock in a certain number of privates. Minis/Juniors must clock in a minimum 8 privates with an in-house teacher after your routine is learned and before your first event plus 2 additional more privates after your first event. Teen and Seniors must clock in a minimum of 6 privates with an in-house teacher after your routine is learned, and before your first event, plus 2 additional more privates after your first event. After Dance RAW, Carol will determine if your solo/duo/trio is ready for competition. If it is determined that your routine is not competition ready, your routine will be pulled from the first competition. A follow up evaluation of your routine will take place after the first competition for approval before the next competition. Solo/duo/trio fees are in addition to team fees listed above. Solos roughly $180-225 per event, duo/trios $80-95 per dancer per event. Fees vary depending on the event. Some events limit the number of solos a studio may enter. If this is the case, Carol will consider the most prepared soloists to compete.

A $300 non-refundable deposit will be due upon acceptance into one of our travel and local teams. This deposit will be applied towards team fees and is non-refundable. A $150 non-refundable deposit will be due upon acceptance into one of our non-competing performance teams.
