Husky Volunteer Team: Team Leader Application


The Husky Volunteer Team (HVT) is sponsored by the Center of Community Service to provide meaningful and consistent service to the communities surrounding Northeastern University.
Volunteers, in teams of 3-10, partner with a community organization for one academic term. Each term is assigned a specific, consistent day and time that they will serve each week for the duration of the semester. Teams receive an orientation to the organization, community, and social issue while providing weekly service.

Position Description: HVT Team Leaders serve as a liaison between their service site, their team, and the Center of Community Service staff. The students in this position are expected to assist with communication between parties, help coordinate travel logistics, and help to ensure each team member remains invested through the duration of the program/semester. A Team Leader is in charge of tracking the number of hours served by each team member and helping to assess the impact of HVT at their respective service site. We are looking for energetic and personable students to take on this leadership role.

The application deadline for the Summer I 2014 session is Friday, April 25th! You must have your application submitted by then in order to ensure your participation in the program.
