Please email Haoqi Zhang (hq@northwestern.edu) with any questions.
__________
At DTR, we develop systems that shape new experiences with people and technology. We are designers, builders, and researchers. We are undergrads, graduate students, and faculty. We are a community who support each other, who work hard together, learn together, laugh together, have a good time together, struggle together. We design solutions to address people’s needs, explore new technologies that capture our imagination, and challenge ourselves to advance the state of the art with honesty through research.

See the DTR website for more info.

DTR Expectations
Below we will quickly review some of our expectations in DTR so you can learn if it's for you.
How many hours can you dedicate to DTR? *
DTR is a hard class and will require 8-12 hours a week.
How many classes do you plan to take next quarter? *
DTR is a hard class and we don't recommend anyone taking more than four classes (inclusive of DTR).
What times are you available on Fridays of next quarter for our DTR Studio Meeting? *
We meet for a single 3 hour meeting each week, and a separate one hour SIG meeting. The longer meeting is used mainly for learning modules, pair research, and status updates. We require all students be able to make the longer meeting. Typically it's on Fridays from noon-3 or 1-4pm, but we may have some flexibility depending on people's schedules.
