#INspirEDmath – Increasing engagement in the K-12 math classroom

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) is organizing a math extravaganza to develop a vision for ambitious instruction in the K-12 math classroom! This learning day will walk participants through The Eight Effective Teaching Practices as outlined in NCTM’s publication Principles to Action (2014) in the morning followed by guided implementation and collaboration time in the afternoon. Classroom teachers and coaches are the target audience, although other educators are welcome to attend.

We would be excited to partner with local school districts to host our events! The math extravaganza will occur the last weeks of February through the beginning of March with the following tentative schedule:
8:30 – 11:30 – Interactive learning session
11:30-12:30 – Lunch on own
12:30-2:30 – Implementation session

The training will be free for any educator within the surrounding area, and Professional Growth Points are available upon completion. We will open registration for up to 100 people per site.

If you are interested in partnering with the IDOE to serve as a host site please complete the form below. If you would like further details, please contact Robin Conti ( Thank you for your consideration!
