Contest Rules *

Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

* Participants ages 16-17 may compete only with a parent or legal guardian’s signed consent.

Each contestant will receive official contest hot dogs and buns.

Contestants will have 10 minutes to consume as many hot dogs and buns as possible.

Both the hot dog and bun must be consumed to count toward the total score.

Water may be used for drinking or dunking food.

No utensils may be used. Food must be eaten by hand.

Contestants may not share food or receive assistance from spectators.

Any contestant observed hiding, discarding, or intentionally wasting food will be disqualified.

The contestant with the highest number of completed hot dogs and buns consumed within the time limit will be declared the winner.

Vomiting or regurgitation (“reversal of fortune”).

Unsportsmanlike conduct.

Interference with another contestant.

Cheating or tampering with contest materials.

Safety Regulations *

Participants acknowledge that competitive eating presents risks including:

* Choking

* Aspiration

* Allergic reactions

* Gastrointestinal distress

* Serious injury or death

Emergency medical services may be contacted if deemed necessary by event staff.

Contest officials may stop a participant from competing if signs of distress are observed. Safety decisions are final.

No alcohol consumption is permitted during the contest.

I voluntarily choose to participate in the Hot Dog Eating Contest.

I understand the risks associated with competitive eating, including choking, illness, injury, allergic reaction, and death.

I certify that I am physically capable of participating and have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe.

I assume all risks associated with participation.

I release and hold harmless:

* Property owners

* Volunteers

* Employees and agents

from any and all claims, injuries, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from my participation.

I grant permission for photographs and videos taken during the event to be used for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation.

I have read and fully understand this agreement and sign it voluntarily.
