Dear Students and Families,

We are excited to announce the launch of the Achieve U Student Academic Support Initiative, designed to provide targeted assistance to temporarily housed youth facing academic challenges, as well as those seeking greater enrichment experiences. Achieve U will offer three programs: youth leadership workshops, post-secondary college/career readiness workshops, running from March 22, 2025, to June 26, 2025. These programs are free of charge and will be held at select shelter sites and schools throughout the city.

Services: Middle and high school students are invited to participate in in-person workshops designed to explore and build self-advocacy skills, develop leadership qualities, and foster a sense of community.

Grades: Students in grades 6-12.

Cadence of Programming: Students participating in this offering will have access to youth workshops, 3 days per week after school, and half-days on Saturday mornings from March through the end of June 2025.

Location of Programming: Sessions will be held in person at shelter sites or assigned schools.

What’s Included: Students participating in this program will have access to workshops on Leadership, Self-Advocacy, Communication Skills, and more. They will gain valuable tools for navigating educational and community spaces while working to create positive change within their own environments.

Services: High school students can join in-person workshops to explore college, careers, and life skills.

Grades: Students in grades 9-12.
