Thank you for your interest in working in the Gustavus Admission Office! We have a lot of fun, but our work is very important and we take it very seriously. Therefore, we are seeking student employees who:

□ are involved in a broad range of activities, majors, and interests
Please carefully consider the details of the job before you submit your application. Do your interests and skills match our work demands? Will you be just as excited and effective giving your 50th tour as your 1st? In addition to tours, will you be genuinely happy to work as a data-enterer, receptionist, analyzer, coordinator, panelist, mover, mingler, brainstormer, and all-around Gustavus representative?
ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24 SCHEDULED TOUR GUIDES:
Open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Students are encouraged to apply even if student employment is not a part of their financial aid package. Students currently working for another Gustavus office or department are also encouraged to apply, as hours may be split between offices.
□ Schedule includes working 3-4 Saturday mornings each semester
□ Weekday hours will be scheduled between 8:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
□ Additional hours may be earned working extra shifts on visit event days
ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24 ON-CALL TOUR GUIDES:
Open to any student who will be attending Gustavus during the 2022-23 school year. On-Call Tour Guides will not have regularly scheduled hours throughout the week.
□ Schedule typically includes working 3-4 Saturday mornings each semester
□ Additional hours may be earned working extra shifts on visit event days
SUMMER 2023 TOUR GUIDES:
□ Start date: Tuesday, May 30 - End date: Thursday, August 31
□ Training: Tuesday, May 30 - Friday, June 9 (no training June 3 or 4)
□ Pay is $12.50/hr!
□ Mandatory work days:
o Most Fridays
o May 30 - June 2
o MN Private College Week: June 26-30
□ Typical work day: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4:45 p.m. with a 45-minute unpaid lunch
□ Occasional opportunities for extra hours; but no overtime hours (over 40 hrs/week) allowed or expected
□ Unpaid vacation days can be taken based on office coverage
□ Flexibility will be allowed for late August Gustavus commitments (athletics, Greeters, CFs, etc.)
