The Young Farmers’ Federation of Uganda (UNYFA) is a member-based organization established in January 2016 for agro-based youth aged 12-39 years. As an umbrella organization, we have over 60 members representing over 31,000 individual youths coming from: District Young Farmers’ Associations (DYFAs) for rural based youth; agribusiness youth-based initiatives for those out of school; schools and tertiary institutions targeting those in schools and these make our membership base.
We have a countrywide coverage in all regions (West Nile, Northern, Far-Eastern, Eastern, Central and Western) and has the desire to holistically transform youth in agriculture for social economic development. Our areas of development are: Professionalization, Advocacy, Education/training, Networking and Services.
