Effective July 22, 2007, ECC is required by law to provide you with a written notice that you are not eligible to receive unemployment benefits per an allowance in state law RCW 50.44.040(1). Evergreen Christian Community & School is classified as a 501(c)3 non-profit church related organization. ECC has chosen not to participate in the Federal Unemployment Tax Act. This means that no unemployment benefits are available to ECC/ECS employees, regardless of the reason(s) for termination.
