STEAM Fair - Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020
We need you! The 6th annual Northville STEAM Fair (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) for our students, families, and the community, will take place on Wednesday, April 22nd. The 2020 theme is “Our Planet: Solving Today's Problems to Open a World of Possibilities for Tomorrow” which is a focus on using engineering and design to create mind-blowing innovations. Through a generous donation from the Northville Educational Foundation, and our partnerships with other community partners, we are able to provide an exciting, hands-on learning opportunity for our students and families.

Our goal is to have EVERY school represented with at least one project. Whether a student designed and led activity, or a stand-alone display — the possibilities for student-created innovations are endless! Students attending during the day and community members who participate in the evening, will be exposed to at least 50 different hands-on projects, created by NPS students.

To aid in our planning, please complete and submit the STEAM Fair proposal form by Friday, March 20, 2020. We are asking for the proposal form so projects are not duplicated. If this were to happen, we would work with you to “tweak” it. This is a fantastic opportunity to ask your students how they would like to be involved; you don’t have to do all of the thinking, let them!

NEW THIS YEAR! This year we will be giving awards in the following categories - Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Awards are for the following: Most Creative, World of Possibilities (best aligned to STEAM Fair Theme) and Judges Choice.

For more information, check out the STEAM Fair website: http://www.NorthvilleSteamFair.com/

We encourage you to be creative and to get your students involved!

PROPOSAL EXPLANATION: Some projects may be led by your students at the events. Other activities may simply be an exhibit. Plan on approximately 250 students visiting your station.

NOTE: NO candy or food items allowed at STEAM Fair presentations. Thank You!
