Anime Fire Main Stage Policy

The Anime Fire Main Stage is a space for attendees to showcase their talents in performance arts, including but not limited to dancing, singing, instrumental music, and other forms of stage entertainment. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly environment for all attendees, all prospective performers must adhere to the following policies.

Main Stage Scheduling

  • All sets are at least 45 minutes long, with an additional 15 minutes provided for acts to break down and set up.

  • When requesting time slots, please be sure to account for any extra time needed to set up and/or break down for your event.

  • If an event starts late because of late arrivals or issues setting up equipment not provided by Anime Pasadena, it must still end at its scheduled time.

  • Sets that have not started within 15 minutes of their scheduled start time will be shortened to help keep everything on schedule. This policy is enforced and monitored by the Main Stage Manager and Anime Pasadena staff.

  • If an emergency or other circumstance will prevent participants from conducting their scheduled set(s), please contact the Main Stage Manager immediately at stephanie@nerdbot.com.

  • If circumstances beyond Anime Pasadena’s control, such as a fire alarm, earthquake, or other emergency, prevent events from taking place as scheduled, the Main Stage Manager will let participants know whether they may continue beyond their scheduled times and/or whether a new time or location is available. If a participant chooses not to return after such an occurrence, their set will be canceled.

Main Stage Management

  • To help keep every event running smoothly and enjoyably, participants must follow all decisions made by Live Events Staff and Management. This requirement is firm and non-negotiable. Violations may result in the set being canceled, the offending participant(s) being removed, and/or being prohibited from applying to participate in future Anime Fire events. This includes the following:

    • Any interaction that is deemed to be belligerent and/or rude to staff or others.

    • Disregarding any directions given by staff that follows the code of conducts and guidelines set by the convention center and/or city of Pasadena.

Primary Contact / Group Lead (GL)

Each performance group must select one person to serve as their point of contact, or Group Lead (GL). The GL is responsible for coordinating with Stephanie about the details of their group’s set. The GL is the only member authorized to make changes, such as adding/removing group members, updating descriptions/content, or submitting schedule change requests.

Any requests, questions, or concerns should be directed to stephanie@nerdbot.com. The GL must ensure that all members of their group are informed and understand Anime Fire policies. Only the GL will be contacted regarding an event’s status, and it is their responsibility to share updates with the rest of the group.
