GirlDevelopIt Scholarship Donation Form

Our goal is to increase technical literacy among women and while we offer low-cost web development classes, members who are unemployed may not be able to attend. This Scholarship Fund removes that barrier and provides members with the opportunity to increase their skillsets until they can overcome their financial hardship.

Our classes range from $15 for the evening workshops to $100 for the multi-day workshops. We will give as many scholarships as we can for the amount you donate. In return for your generous donation, your name will be broadcasted as the sponsor of that seat and it will be shared in our classes and social media networks. In return for your generous donation, your name will be broadcasted as the sponsor of that seat and it will be shared in our classes and social media networks. In addition, we will share your job listings with our list. Thank you in advance for helping us bridge the disparity in technology.

Donations can be sent via PayPal to operations@girldevelopit.com. Please complete this form so we can thank you properly.

    Note

    Q. Will my donation be tax-deductible in the U.S.? A. The short answer is "probably." But for legal reason, we have to inform you of our current status. Girl Develop It is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, but we have not yet been certified as tax-exempt by the IRS. The paperwork has been filed, but we are awaiting approval of our tax-exempt status. Although donors have no assurance that contributions are tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes until the application is approved, contributions made while our application is pending would qualify if the application is approved. However, if the application is disallowed, contributions would not qualify. In other words, we’re working on becoming tax-exempt, and we confident that we will receive tax-exempt status, and will send you a receipt if/when we get tax-exempt status. Until then, we cannot guarantee that your contribution will be tax deductible this year.
