Following up to our previous IlmWeek, this course will elucidate the Islamic jurisprudence of Hadith. Learning will include the opinions of the four madhab and their understanding of it.
Session 1: The Living Heart - Fiqh of Du'a & Dhikr
Abu Hurairah RA narrated that Prophet Muhammad SAW said:

“Allah SWT says, “I am just as My slave thinks of Me, and I am with him if he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself. And if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than that. And if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I got a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running”
(Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

In this session, you will learn the Fiqh of Du’a and Dhikr.

Session 2: Worshippers of Al-Rahman - Fiqh of Night Prayer, Taraweeh, Salat al-Tasbih, Duha/Ishraq, Awwabeen
In this session, you will learn the Fiqh of Night Prayer, Taraweeh, Salat al-Tasbih, Duha/Ishraq, Awwabeen.
Session 3: Final Destination - Fiqh of Janazah
“Who is the most wise of people O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “The one who remembers death most often and the one who is well-prepared to meet it; these are the wise; honorable in this life and dignified in the Hereafter.”
(Ibn Maajah & Tabaraani)

As Muslims we must always be prepared for death. Constant remembrance of death strengthens the hearts of men by suppressing inordinate desires and transgression. This trains us to tread this earth with humility rather than arrogance and greed.

In this session, you will learn the Fiqh of Janazah.

Session 4: Purifier - Fiqh of Zakat and Sadaqah
"Ibn al-Qayyim said in Zaad al-Ma’aad that giving and generosity are means of gladdening the heart, but no one benefits from that except the one who gives gladly and willingly, and gives the wealth from his heart before he gives it from his hand"
(Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al-Munajjid, islamqa)

In this session, you will learn the Fiqh of Zakat and Sadaqah.

Session 5: Fiqh of Medicine - Fiqh of Patients & Doctors
What is the proper code of conduct for us as patients and doctors? This session will explore the practical and theological ethics of a doctor-patient relationship.

In the light of modern medicine, you will learn about the Fiqh of Patients & Doctors.

Session 6: Last Will - Fiqh of Gifts/Donations and Equal Treatment
“Prescribed for you when death approaches [any] one of you if he leaves wealth [is that he should make] a bequest for the parents and near relatives according to what is acceptable - a duty upon the righteous.” (Quran, 2:180)

Surah Al-Baqarah also speaks of law of inheritance. It teaches us how do we dispose of our assets in an equitable manner.

In this last session for this course, additional to learning about Fiqh of Will, you will learn about Fiqh of Gifts/Donations and Equal Treatment.
