Changemakers Catalyst Fund: Applications for 2026

Homerton Changemakers invites applications to the ‘Changemakers Catalyst Fund 2026', for £1,000-£2,000 supporting student-led initiatives. 

Grants will be made for establishing a social enterprise or business, supporting an existing start-up or project, developing creative projects or campaigns, or supporting research towards a new enterprise. Proposed projects must be focused on increasing public good and societal impact, and reflect the values of Homerton Changemakers - building collaborative efforts towards more sustainable, just, regenerative systems and futures.

*Eligibility: At time of application the lead applicant must be a current Homerton student or current Homerton Changemakers Champion and in collaboration with students from Homerton(minimum of one Homerton student) and other colleges. Homerton students will have opportunities to meet prospective ARU collaborators at the Catalyst Fund Development Day One on Monday 23 February 2026 and Catalyst Fund Development Day Two on Monday 16 March 2026.

All lead applicants must have attended at least 5 hours of Changemakers events in the 2 years prior to submitting an application: e.g.: Mentoring Programme, Annual Residential, Core Workshops, Tuesday Conversations, Catalyst Fund Development Day One (2025) Not your Regular Hackathon (Monday 17 February) and Catalyst Fund Day Two (2025) (Monday 17 March).

*Eligible costs include travel, subsistence, materials, books and training and any other relevant expenses required by the Project (e.g. paying consultancy time for expertise needed).  Funds may not be used solely as travel grants, to cover regular living expenses or to pay for time whilst undertaking the project.

* The video pitch can be a summary of all of these points; a single message; or an introduction. It’s up to you. The task is to interest the judges, persuade them of the seriousness of your initiative, and to communicate something about you and how you will work.
