#eci831 Non-Credit Participant Questionnaire
EC&I 831 (Social Media & Open Education) is an online, open boundary course that is offered by the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina. The course content focuses on topics such as educational technology, technology integration, social media in education, connected/network learning, digital citizenship/identity, info/media literacy, digital storytelling, and open education. The course features weekly, 1.5 hour synchronous sessions (via web conferencing) as well as a range of asynchronous activities.

While there are about 40 students currently taking this course for credit, every year we also invite the outside world to participate as non-credit students. There is no real commitment required to participate, and you can participate as little or as much as you would like. Most non-credit participants simply attend one or more of the weekly sessions, contribute to the Twitter hashtag (#eci831), and comment on student blogs from time to time. However, we also invite those who are interested to participate as network-mentors. This is a bit more of a commitment, but also a much more fulfilling experience for all; you get to inspire and contribute to the learning of some amazing grad students.

No matter which way you'd like to participate, we are hoping to get a little information from you to help us plan. Please let us know a little bit about you so we can make this course experience useful for everyone involved and also keep you in the loop about the course.

The course officially opens up to non-credit students on September 24, and runs until December 3, 2013.

Thanks so much for considering being a part of EC&I 831!
