Sign your 3rd -5th grade student up to join a Morse School Morning Club! All clubs will take place from 8:00-8:25 AM. Please have students who participate in clubs eat breakfast prior to arriving to club.
- Tuesdays - Morse Morning Singers with Ms. Graeber: Morse Morning Singers with Ms. Graeber: Morse Morning Singers is a non-auditioned chorus for students in grade 3, 4 and 5 who love to sing. Students will learn challenging and fun music to sing in the Winter Concert on January 26, 2024 and possibly sing for other opportunities. Students who choose to sing in this group need to make a commitment to come to rehearsals every week through January to learn the music and have the full experience of being an important member of a musical group. We will run another session from January until May.
- Every other Wednesdays (10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, 12/13, 1/3, 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 4/24, 5/8, 5/22, 6/5) - Rainbow Club with Ms. Elle: In collaboration with the CPSD Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, the Morse School will be launching a Rainbow Club for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Rainbow Club is a drop-in space where students will have the opportunity to build community together, work on advocacy projects, and address topics of empathy, identity, family, respect, and inclusion. Students are welcome to join Rainbow Club at any point during the school year.
Wednesdays - Computer Science Club with Ms. Lavalle: Computer Science Club is a place where students will learn more about hardware (the parts of a computer and how they work), software (the directions that we use to tell computers what to do), and other electronics (like small computers that you can code to follow instructions). Depending on interest, we will run more than one group this year so that all interested students will get an opportunity to participate.
Thursdays - Intramural Soccer Club with Mr. Fousek: Intramural Soccer Club is a program that will provide students the opportunity to participate in small-sided soccer games before school. This program is open to all players regardless of experience with the game. If interest in the program is high, we will run more than one session this year so that all interested students will have the chance to participate.
There is no cost for our morning programs and they are designed to be accessible to all students, regardless of how they get to school each day. We hope that these activities will help foster a sense of belonging and community and that many of our 3rd-5th graders will choose to participate! We ask that students join consistently each week!
We will send an email to families to confirm your students' participation!
